On Tuesday March 18, a group of students from Zhishan College visited Schwarzman College, which is a one-year master’s program. The visit was a remarkable opportunity to gain in depth insights about Schwarzman College’s educational model, application procedures and requirements, and it’s unique academic and cultural environment.
Zhishan College, much like Schwarzman College, is deeply committed to cultivating future leaders with a strong sense of global affairs. Both programs share a common goal of equipping students with the knowledge, skills, and perspectives necessary to make a significant impact on the international stage. Zhishan College promotes cross - cultural understanding and leadership development; consisting of majors like international politics and relations, economics, psychology and more. Similar to the lofty aims of Schwarzman College.


During the visit, the students were first lead on a comprehensive tour of Schwarzman College’s facilities. The stunning Aristocratic Chinese tradition architecture is a feast for the eye. The state - of - the - art classrooms, and inviting common areas were not only aesthetically pleasing but also conducive to learning. Schwarzman College’s architecture combines modern design with traditional Chinese influences, featuring symmetry, grand courtyards, and a harmonious blend of aesthetics.
In the subsequent information session, Schwarzman college representatives delved into the college’s academic programs. They stressed the multidisciplinary approach to global leadership education, covering areas like international politics, economics etc. They also carefully explained the application process, emphasizing the need for high – caliber academic achievements, demonstrated leadership capabilities, and a burning desire to engage in global issues.
The visit was an eye – opener. It has not only provided practical details for those considering applying to Schwarzman College but also reaffirmed the shared vision between Zhishan College and Schwarzman College in nurturing leaders for a globalized world.
