To encourage faculty members to actively engage in teaching, improve instructional quality and talent development, and foster a culture dedicated to excellence in education, Tsinghua University established the "Tsinghua University Annual Award for Teaching Excellence" in 2016. The award is presented yearly to full-time faculty members teaching undergraduate or graduate courses who meet criteria such as being recognized as an "Outstanding Teacher" in graduate surveys, ranking in the top 5% in student evaluations, or making significant contributions to teaching innovation.
Recently, the recipients of the "2024 Tsinghua University Annual Award for Teaching Excellence" were announced. In accordance with the "Tsinghua University Annual Award for Teaching Excellence Selection and Recognition Guidelines," the list was approved during the second plenary meeting of the University Teaching Committee in 2025 and announced after a publicity period. Jin Jun, Associate Dean of Zhishan Academy, was among those honored.

His course "Sociological Imagination: Structure, Power, and Transformation" was ranked in the top 5% among theoretical humanities courses with over 100 students in the undergraduate teaching evaluation for the Fall semester of the 2024-2025 academic year. He was also named an "Outstanding Teacher and Course in the Eyes of Graduates" in the 2024 recent graduate survey.
