On April 23, Zhishan College held a mentor exchange meeting at the Main Building. Attendees included Dean Tang Ke, Associate Dean Jin Jun, student group leader Sun Zhen, mentor representatives, and student affairs staff. Discussions focused on mentor-student communication, student academic development, and the design of practice-based courses.

Dean Tang Ke expressed sincere gratitude to the mentors for their deep engagement with the college and their willingness to share insights. He encouraged an open dialogue to further foster the "learning alongside one another" atmosphere that characterizes Zhishan College.

Mentors shared their experiences interacting with students and offered creative suggestions to improve mentor-student interaction, such as organizing relaxed activities like hiking, sports, or coffee chats to encourage natural conversation; inviting upper-year students to join the discussions, with mentors taking on more of a listening role to facilitate peer support and guidance. Many also shared successful practices in cross-year group meetings, academic advising, and optimizing hands-on projects, providing valuable direction for the college’s future efforts.

In closing, Tang Ke emphasized that the mentorship system is a key feature of the college. He thanked all mentors for their continued commitment and looked forward to more innovative forms of interaction to fully realize the educational role of mentors, respond to students’ developmental needs, and support their overall growth. The meeting was productive and laid a solid foundation for further improving mentorship and student support systems at the college.
